A Valentine's Day visit

Titus and I were visited by the rest of the family yesterday.  It was the first time we were officially all together in one room as a complete family, and a great way to celebrate Valentine's Day.  I had entertained myself Saturday by making some pop-up valentine cards for the kids.  Very fun!

The kiddos got to hold their baby brother for the first time, too. They both loved on him and were enjoying their time, until they got to watch a Thomas the Train video.  Then they were otherwise occupied.  :)

Things are still going very well.  On Friday, Titus had an "event" where his heart dropped, so we can expect to be discharged no earlier than Wednesday, and the Docs expect we should be able to leave ON Wednesday.  That's VERY exciting news, as it's only two days away now! Titus has been holding steady while "rooming in," and is steadily nursing better and longer, without so many drops in his stats.  It's been nice having him in the room all the time, just to get to know him a bit better, and see how he settles down to sleep, etc.  Titus has had many more periods of awake time the past couple days, which has also been really fun.  He just looks around the room and checks out his surroundings.

We've only got a few more hurdles to get over before we get to leave.  He's got another optometry appointment, a circumcision, and then a car seat "challenge" where they moniter his vitals while he is strapped into his car seat.  Beyond that, they're just watching his weight to make sure he's gaining steadily, which he has been so far.  He had a little drop right at first this weekend, but has recovered and is slightly below 6 pounds as of last night and I expect that he'll break six tonight!

That about covers it for right now.  Nick and I are watching some of the Olympics tonight while the kids spend the night at a friend's house.  Nick has to work tomorrow, so our friends will watch the kids for the day.  Believe me, they're not disappointed to have a fun place to go play!
We'll let you know when we're HOME for good.  We are all looking forward to that day very much!

How exciting to see you ALL together! I'm thrilled and can't wait for the "at home" pictures which will be posted soon!! What a wonderful Valentine gift - just to be in one spot together. Love the pop-up valentines. Looks like a fun project.
